Spoke + Ivy: Reviews & Ratings

This is the restaurant on the MAIN level, NOT the speak-easy in the basement. We were there at 5:30 on a week night. We were seated in a very awkward corner table for two where the tables were really close together. Since it was our Valentine's celebration, I would have been uncomfortable with the tables next to us having people at them because it didn't give you any privacy or space for private conversation. We did not get drinks or appetizers. Our meals were very good (salmon and chicken). The server was good but didn't refill my water and that' a big deal to me. Also, it's supposed to be an upscale place and they were out of paper towels in the bathroom. I feel like that is just basic service they should check on regularly.

We ate brunch at Spoke and Ivy on Sunday. The creative food and drinks were delicious and the service was excellent! However the noise level was extremely loud, due to the high ceiling and lack of acoustics to absorb the sound. On a Sunday, only the Bistro Brunch menu is available. Next time we make reservations, we will request a table in the smaller dining area behind the check in desk. We started with drinks of a refreshing East Side Baddie, an old fashioned, an expresso martini, and a vanilla raspberry latte. For appetizers, we ordered a fresh half Ivy salad, the interesting potato latke, and the stuffed mushrooms. Again, all were delicious! All were very good! For entrees, we ordered the steak & egg with potatoes & asparagus, and shrimp (3 jumbo) & grits. I would have liked three times as much grits in the dish, but the marinara sauce and fresh pesto were a creative touch! No bread basket is served with the meal, which would have been nice to scoop up the rest of the delicious marinara sauce in both the stuffed mushrooms and the shrimp & grits. For desserts, we ordered the tender beignets, the gigantic cinnamon roll, and the chai Terimisu. All 3 were excellent, and certainly big enough for two to share! There was a line at the restrooms because it is just 2 single-stall unisex restrooms. One recommendation I have would be to install pull-down blinds on the large windows facing the street because during midday the sun was shining right in our eyes with our chairs facing the windows. This restaurant is definitely one that I would return to for another delicious meal!

Excellent restaurant. The menu items are very limited and their selection of bourbon, gins and other alcohols is slim compared to other upscale places. The food we had was excellent, but again very limited. Servers were knowledgeable and attentive and the atmosphere is wonderful and the restauarant tastefully decorated. I rated the food a 4 due to the small menu.

First time at Spoke & Ivy for brunch. EVERYTHING was delicious! Of special note: potato latkes , garbage bowl and prime rib eggs benedict were 10/10; the cinnamon roll and lobster wonton were also good. Decor was attractive but as the dining room filled up, it became very loud and difficult to have a conversation at our table. In spite of that, the quality of food and service will bring us back in the near future.

Had a chance to visit Spoke and Ivy for a birthday dinner. This is a really nice spot downtown. We had a good time and the atmosphere was just ok. It was Loud in there they were pretty full but my spouse and I found it difficult to hear each other. On to the food. We had the crab stuffed mushrooms and lobster roll rangoon appetizers. The rangoon was amazing. Light fluffy wrapping around wonderful lobster filling. The mushrooms were disappointing but I think it was just too much Vodka sauce. Don't get me wrong, the Vodka sauce is great and very flavorful but it completely overshadowed the crab. My spouse even forgot there was crab in there. The burger was small for the price but good. The fries with it were terrible. Soggy and not flavorful. The crispy chicken with the goat cheese and the slightly spicy jam was incredible. I do recommend this place. It's a bit pricey for the atmosphere but worth it for there food quality we had. We'll just need to stick with some of the better dishes next time. The drinks are well made of expensive. The staff did a fabulous job on the birthday drink as well.

We stumbled upon this restaurant on a walk downtown Fort Wayne. Nice ambiance. Great delicious food!!! The food took a while to come out even though they were not that busy (middle of the day 2 pm ) and that is why I gave them 4 starts for service. We will be returning back with the kiddos!

I went to spoke and Ivy for the first time during the savor fort wayne. The menu changes seasonaly and the savor menu is limited but everything ordered was AMAZING. We had Ester as our waiter and she was amazing! For starters I got the meatballs and the facotta for the table. The meatballs had a great spice and the flavors of all the sauces made them so good. For my meal I had the Chicken Milanese. It came with a ricotta and pesto. The pesto had a slightly sweet taste that was SOOOO good. We saw that one of the other main dishes pickled green tomatoes and asked to try them. OMG so good. Will definitely be back. This might be my new favorite FW restaurant. 10/10

I had dinner there a few evenings ago for a birthday dinner with a party of 11. The atmosphere in the restaurant is very welcoming and friendly. The front of house staff was very kind when we entered. The restaurant was very busy that night, with our table not being ready due to business we were able to experience the black rabbit in the basement. The bartenders down there were very friendly and great to talk with. The cocktails were immaculate and I highly recommend every single one of them. Dinner service was impeccable and every single dish was so tasty and flavorful. The star of the night for me would be the meatballs! I enjoyed the pork chop for dinner and it’s the best one I’ve ever ordered out to eat. Our server, Alanna, did an amazing job with our party’s she was patient and explained everything very well. Cocktails were flowing and waters were always full! She made the dinner experience great! Thank you Spoke + Ivy for an amazing evening!

Spoke + Ivy, nestled on West Main Street in Fort Wayne, offers a refined dining experience that blends creative American cuisine with a touch of elegance. This restaurant has quickly become a go-to spot for those seeking inventive brunches and upscale dinners in a vibrant downtown setting.

The menu at Spoke + Ivy is intentionally curated, focusing on quality over quantity. Highlights include the standout potato latkes and the prime rib eggs benedict, which consistently earn praise for their balance of flavors and presentation. The shrimp & grits dish, complemented by fresh pesto and marinara sauce, showcases a thoughtful twist on Southern classics. For appetizers, the lobster wonton and crab-stuffed mushrooms present a mix of textures and rich seafood flavors, although the latter can lean heavily on the vodka sauce, sometimes overshadowing the crab.

Brunch here is an experience marked by inventive drink options such as the “East Side Baddie” cocktail and the vanilla raspberry latte, which pair well with dishes like the garbage bowl and the gigantic cinnamon roll. Dessert selections—beignets, chai tiramisu, and the cinnamon roll—are generous and deeply satisfying, perfect for sharing.

While the service is generally attentive and knowledgeable, a few lapses like missed water refills or occasional slow bathroom maintenance were noted, reflecting some growing pains in maintaining impeccable service standards. The atmosphere is tastefully decorated, yet conversations can be challenged by the high ceilings and lively crowd noise, especially during peak hours. Strategic seating in the smaller dining area may offer a quieter experience.

Overall, Spoke + Ivy impresses with its thoughtfully crafted dishes and quality ingredients. It’s a destination for those who appreciate a modern culinary approach combined with classic influences, accompanied by well-made cocktails and a cozy, if occasionally loud, ambiance. Whether celebrating a special occasion or enjoying a weekend brunch, Spoke + Ivy offers a memorable, if selective, menu worth exploring.
